90-day managed launch care — included
Every new Smaoin project launches with Enhanced Care as part of the project warranty — at no extra cost. That means active monitoring, proactive oversight, and launch stabilisation from day one.
- Full platform monitoring & security scanning
- Priority response for issues relating to the original agreed functionality
- Proactive oversight & alert review
- A technical review before the warranty period ends
If any remediation work falls outside the original scope, we’ll provide a clear estimate before any chargeable work begins. After 90 days your platform reverts to Essential Care automatically — or you can stay on a higher plan.
Care plans
Every plan includes UK hosting, one standard domain, Cloudflare and daily off-site backups — and critical & high-risk security issues are fixed for you as standard, within 14 days, aligned with Cyber Essentials patching requirements. What changes as you move up is how much is covered, how detailed and frequent your reports are, how long backups are kept, and how fast we respond — with the major software upgrades handled for you on the top plan.
Essential Care
£15 / mo
UK hosting, your domain, Cloudflare, business email and daily backups — with the serious security problems (critical & high-risk) fixed for you, not just flagged.
- UK hosting, one standard domain & Cloudflare setup
- Critical & high-risk security issues fixed for you — within 14 days (the Cyber Essentials standard) learn more
- Round-the-clock security scanning, with alerts the moment something new turns up
- Client portal — uptime, open issues, tickets, billing, docs
- Daily backups, kept 7 days, plus a security report twice a year learn more
Critical & high security issues are fixed for you, included. The one paid, mandatory step is the major software upgrade — before your site goes out of support — a flat one-off, or included on Complete Care. Content & change work is quoted and agreed first.
No contract — leave any time with a full data handover. See how it works ↓
Enhanced Care
£25 / mo

Complete Care
£35 / mo
Everything in Enhanced Care, plus the major software upgrades handled for you ahead of time — so your site never goes out of support — with the longest backups and same-day response.
- Everything in Enhanced Care
- Major software upgrades included — handled before your site goes out of support (after 6 months) learn more
- Same-business-day priority response
- Daily backups, kept 90 days and tested so they'll actually restore
- Full site report (normally £79) — every month learn more
- Performance & SEO fixes included — sorted for you, not quoted

All plan prices include VAT. Why ongoing security matters now more than ever
The rise of AI tools since 2022 has significantly increased the volume and scale of attacks against websites and online systems — including small business sites.
Most modern attacks are not personal or manually targeted. Automated systems continuously scan millions of websites looking for outdated software, exposed admin areas, weak passwords, and known security flaws. A small business website can be flagged and probed simply because it appears vulnerable — not because of who the business is.
“Nobody would target us — we’re too small.”
That reasoning no longer holds. Automated bots don’t choose targets based on business size — they scan for opportunity. Small and neglected sites are often the easiest targets precisely because they are less likely to be actively maintained.
What changed
- Finding a weakness in a website that once took a skilled attacker hours now takes minutes
- Automated tools scan millions of sites simultaneously, prioritising the ones most likely to be vulnerable
- Outdated software, missing security settings, and weak email configuration are now trivially detectable
- Once a security flaw is publicly known, working attack code can be generated from it in seconds
How Smaoin responds
- Up-to-date, actively supported platforms only — no abandoned or end-of-life software
- Automated security scanning on every hosted platform, run continuously
- Hardened security settings and a web application firewall on all hosted sites
- Email authentication records configured to stop others impersonating your domain
- Proactive monitoring with alerts reviewed on care plans before issues escalate
Modern websites are infrastructure, not brochures. Secure modern platforms are safer than ever — while neglected platforms are becoming riskier faster than before.
Our security policy
All platforms on Smaoin infrastructure are subject to continuous security scanning. If a platform fails our minimum security standards — unresolved critical security issues, end-of-life software, or known-compromised components — we’ll notify you and work with you on remediation. Any platform that cannot be brought to standard within a reasonable timeframe cannot remain on our hosting infrastructure. We’ll always give advance notice and a full data handover before any suspension takes effect. Read the full Acceptable Use Policy.
No lock-in
Every plan is month-to-month — you can leave at any time. Give written notice and we’ll package everything you need to move to another provider — nothing held back.

Something broken, something to change, a question — raise a ticket and get a response directly in the thread. No email back-and-forth.
Response time targets
These are the targets we aim for — not a contractual guarantee — and we’ll keep you updated on progress either way. Times are measured in business hours (Mon–Fri, 9am–5pm UK).
| Priority | When to use | First response | Resolution target |
|---|---|---|---|
| Critical | Site is down or completely broken | 2 business hours | Same business day |
| High | Major feature broken, affecting users | Next business day | 3 business days |
| Medium | Minor issue or content update | 2 business days | 5 business days |
| Low | Question or general request | 3 business days | Best effort |
Response time targets apply to the initial acknowledgement of your ticket, not necessarily to the full resolution. Complex changes may take longer and we’ll keep you updated throughout.
Priority response for Critical and High tickets applies to Complete Care clients.
These are response times, not a promise that the work is free. Whether the work itself is included or chargeable depends on your plan — genuine faults on our side are covered, and other change or support work is quoted first. See the Terms for what’s included.
